Sometimes when I give a talk on Technical Market Analysis I use the comparison to another profession – the medical field – for finding solutions to difficult problems. For example, the "Fundamental" approach for a doctor would be to inquire as to family history of disease, previous illness, taking the pulse and temperature, etc. Then the doctor would ask about the symptoms of the problem, and based on his education and experience, arrive at the proper diagnosis and treatment.
