The Technical Securities Analysts Association and the Golden Gate University Finance Club are pleased to present Mr. Harry Portolos, Adjunct Professor, Golden Gate University. Details Date: July 22, 2008 Time: 4-6 PM Place: Golden Gate University San Francisco, CA Room #321 Topic: “Back to the Basics: the Trend is Still Your Friend” Background Harry started as a stockbroker at Baraban Securities in 1990. In the days before E*TRADE and the internet, Baraban Securities filled a niche by providing active traders services and strategies utilizing both technical and fundamental analysis. This open trading-room atmosphere provided unique learning opportunities for rookie brokers. There he quickly learned that technicians seemed to profit far more consistently than those utilizing other trading methodologies. This put him on a quest to learn all he could of trading disciplines utilizing technical analysis. For the past five years, Harry has been teaching Technical Analysis of Securities at Golden Gate University. Many of his students are professionals looking to improve trading of client accounts as well as their own. Global currency, energy, bond, stock, and commodity traders, money managers, hedgers, as well as contractors, jewelers, and other business professionals looking to hedge their recourses, have been taught by Harry. 536 Mission Street |
