Richard Peterson
Richard Petersen is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Market Psychology Consulting, where he develops analytical market software and trains financial professionals for improved performance.Dr. Peterson received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.D. from the University of Texas, followed by a psychiatry residency training at San Mateo Medical Center and post-doctoral neuroscience research at Stanford University. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Peterson designed stock forecasting software and traded futures for an investment partnership. He investigated the role of emotions in financial decision making both during medical school and neuroimaging research at Stanford University. He is currently finishing a book for Wiley entitled “Inside the Investor’s Brain.”
