Heart to Heart with Hartle

Thom Hartle, President, Market Analytics, Inc.

Thom Hartle is president of Market Analytics, Inc., www.thomhartle.com. His nearly 25-plus years in the markets began at Merrill Lynch, followed by five years at Drexel Burnham Lambert where he was appointed Vice President, Financial Futures. He left the sell side of Wall Street and became a trader for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle, assisting in the management of a $1-billion portfolio of fixed-income products. After five years at the FHLB of Seattle, he moved to the educational field and worked for nine years as Editor of Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities magazine. Currently he works with private traders, is contributing editor for Active Trader Magazine, and trades the markets for himself.

His presentation will be of interest to both short-term traders and longer-term position holders. He will explain how and why he develops and tests trading strategies, and the role that plays in having a successful traders mind set. For position holders, he will explain his approach to volume analysis for the big picture.
